This planter was wheel thrown using domestic porcelain clay. Some of the hand painted teeth are given "fillings" using a gold lustre glaze that is made with real gold. The top portion of the planter stacks onto the dish, creating a seamless appearance. Two hand formed teeth are attached to either sides of the dish to hold the planter in place.
